What TradiShield is

TradiShield is a compliance document tracking and reminder tool for Australian tradies. It helps you keep track of when your licences, insurance, and certs expire, and reminds you before they do.

TradiShield is a reminder and organisational tool only. It does not guarantee your legal compliance, does not provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for you managing your own obligations. You are responsible for making sure your documents are current and valid.

Your responsibility

The information in your TradiShield account is only as good as what you put in. You're responsible for:

  • Entering accurate expiry dates, licence numbers, and document details
  • Actually renewing your documents before they expire (we remind you — we can't do it for you)
  • Keeping your contact details up to date so reminders reach you
  • Not uploading false, fraudulent, or misleading documents

Limitation of liability

This is the important bit. TradiShield is not liable for any loss, fine, penalty, lost work, lost contracts, or any other consequence arising from:

  • A missed renewal or document expiry, even if we sent (or failed to send) a reminder
  • Inaccurate information you entered into the system
  • A builder or site manager relying on your compliance report or QR verification
  • Any technical issue, outage, or delay in sending reminders

We do our best to send every reminder on time, but things can go wrong — emails land in spam, phone numbers change, servers have bad days. TradiShield is a safety net, not a guarantee. Always keep your own records as a backup.

Compliance report and QR verification

The compliance report and live verification page show information you entered into TradiShield. We do not independently verify the authenticity of any document, licence, or certificate. We're showing what you told us — not what we've confirmed with the issuing authority.

If a builder or site manager relies on your TradiShield report, that's between you and them. We're providing the tool, not the verification.

Subscription and billing

  • TradiShield has a free plan (up to 5 documents, email reminders) and a Pro plan ($15/month or $149/year AUD)
  • The free plan has no time limit and no credit card is required
  • Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis
  • You can cancel anytime from your billing dashboard — no phone calls, no hassle
  • When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period
  • We don't do refunds for partial months, but we won't charge you again after you cancel

What happens when you cancel

When you cancel your subscription:

  • You keep access until the end of your paid period
  • Reminders stop being sent
  • Your data (documents, files, personal details) is deleted within 30 days of your account closing
  • Your QR verification page will stop working

Acceptable use

Don't use TradiShield to:

  • Store false or fraudulent documents
  • Misrepresent your compliance status to builders or site managers
  • Share your account with others (one account per person)
  • Attempt to access other users' data

If we find out you're doing any of this, we'll terminate your account.

AI help chat

TradiShield includes an AI-powered help chat. Responses are for general guidance only — they may not always be accurate and should not be relied on as legal, compliance, or professional advice. If you need specific advice about your compliance obligations, talk to a qualified professional.

Account termination

We can terminate your account if you breach these terms — particularly around fraudulent use or misrepresentation. If we do, we'll email you and explain why. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.

Changes to these terms

We might update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll email you. Continued use of TradiShield after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under Australian law.
