Who we are

TradiShield is a compliance tracking tool for Australian tradies. We're based in Australia and you can reach us at support@tradishield.com.

What we collect

When you sign up and use TradiShield, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and mobile number
• Business name, ABN, trade type, state, and business address
• Documents and files you upload (licence scans, insurance certificates, training certs, etc.)
• Document details you enter (expiry dates, licence numbers, issuers, coverage amounts)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card details)

How we collect it

Directly from you — when you sign up, add documents, update your settings, or use the AI help chat. We don't scrape data from other sources or buy lists.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

• Run your compliance dashboard and track your document expiry dates
• Send you email and SMS reminders before things expire
• Generate your compliance report PDF
• Power the live verification page (the one builders see when they scan your QR code)
• Provide AI chat support
• Process your subscription payments

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run TradiShield:

• Supabase — database and file storage (your documents are stored here)
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — sends your reminder emails
• Twilio — sends your reminder SMS messages
• Stripe — processes your payments (we never see or store your card number)
• OpenAI — powers the AI help chat

We do not sell your data. We don't share your personal information with builders, contractors, or any third party beyond the services listed above.

Your compliance report and QR code

When you generate a compliance report or share your QR code with a builder, they can see: your business name, ABN, trade type, document names, reference numbers, issuers, coverage amounts, expiry dates, and status (valid/expiring/expired).

You control this. The report is only generated when you request it, and the QR verification page is only accessible to someone who has the link. We don't make your information public or searchable.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely with row-level security — only you can access your files and documents. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we delete all your data within 30 days — your documents, uploaded files, personal details, the lot. Gone.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request corrections to any inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data at any time

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and make the app work. We don't use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll send you an email.
